A Software Must: Program Alerts

The affiliate marketing field is one that is fast paced, so an operator who wants to succeed has to stay on top of the game by monitoring costs, commission structures and even the affiliates themselves. Affiliate program alerts can be used to better manage campaigns and monitor program performance. The Income Access affiliate software can send a variety of reminders to help you save time and maximize the success of your program. Below is a run-down of the three ways I’ve found it most useful to use the reporting features.

1. Get Updates
The System Reports send emails to your external email address when certain actions are taken in the system. For example, an “expiring commissions report” can notify you 7 days before a commission expires, giving you ample time to take action.

2. Follow-up
Through the Notes Feature, you can receive a follow-up email to your external email address or through your admin page itself. For example, if you place an affiliate on a trial commission structure and would like to review their performance in one month, you can use the Notes Feature to remind yourself in a month’s time to evaluate the quality of their referrals referred and determine your ROI on that commission.

3. Share Information
The Notes Feature can also be used to share information on affiliates between staff members. This helps you avoid reviewing the same affiliate details every time you launch a new campaign, allowing you to roll-out new campaigns more quickly. There is even a feature were managers can review the messages placed within affiliates account over a period of time (e.g. the last week) and get an overview of the communication taking place with that affiliate.
